- Reused the double doors for the Route 2 gate, and added the warp for it
- Changed the Route 2 map to have the ledge on the path this irritated the fucking LIFE out of me
- Pokemon Tower takes you to the right place when going down.
- Kotora line now has Flash
- Refactored Gentlarva
- Route 2 gate now uses the double doors.
- New hidden Moon Stone where the Clefairy are in Mt. Moon
- Added a new Paradox Pokemon-themed border by Gecko557
- Shifted a ledge in Cerulean City that was off-centre in a really jarring way
- Added the Nugget glitch from FRLG because it's funny and cool
Whoa, this one's been in the making for a while now. This one has been my attempt to fix as much as I could within a little over a month. Here's what I've got for you.
- Fixed a bug in Silph Gauntlet where the trainers would not see you unless you spoke to them
- Removed the unnecessary Gawarhed and Wugtrio static encounters. In what was once Gawarhed's place is a Rare Candy.
- Implemented a working ferry system (huge thanks to Red++) that allows travelling to Faraway Island and Citrine City with the right tickets. Currently both maps use a copy of the SS Anne, which may be revised later.
- Bittybat, Magnetite and Burgela have been removed to fix a Pokedex bug where entries wouldn't display correctly if the total number wasn't a multiple of 8.
- Fixed a bug where fishing up a Wiglett and Wugtrio would play the trainer battle and Champion battle themes respectively
- Restructured the Pokedex a little. Don't worry, Lickitung's still number 108!
- All references to betamon in the disassembly have had their names updated to match the new Ogasawara ones
- Removed Blastyke as a Game Corner prize, replacing it with Squeamata.
- Garnet Cavern is now properly listed as a dungeon map
- Fixed an issue where trying to leave Bill's House after entering the garden would put you back in the garden
- Moved Silph Gauntlet's Beauty down 1 floor to make the number of trainers on each floor more consistent
- Finished Gauntlet 6F except for the trainer text (PvK please help)
- Gavillain's stats updated to match KEP 1.4 on the Showdown server. It's now a Dragon/Electric type with less Ice coverage.
- Fixed Clefable's and Wigglytuff's starting movesets from an earlier commit
- Fixed an ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, EGREGIOUSLY FRUSTRATING BUG that caused the Pokedex's seen counter to rarely update. This is what caused this commit to be delayed for so long. No joke.
- New sprites, courtesy of Albatross, for Sylveon's back sprite, Alolan Marowak, Alolan Muk, Galarian Weezing and Magnezone!
- Fixed a bug preventing the trade for Haunter from being accessed.
- All of the new Pokemon have been given their Nob Ogasawara-localised names, where applicable. Skimper, Bawligua, and Cryithan have completely new names, (Squeamata, Ministare and Iguanarch), made by me with a lot of help from Plague Von Karma!
- Squeamata and Ministare have new sprites courtesy of Albatross. Crobat and the Alolan forms of Golem, Persian, Sandslash and Raticate have also been updated.
- Sandy Shocks can no longer learn Metal Sound.
- Luxwan and Sirfetch'd can no longer learn Hyper Beam.
- A handful of Pokedex entries have been rewritten or altered slightly.
- Gave nicknames to the Galar Evolution trades, they're a bit different to regional variants n such
- The Throw Rock command now only increases flee chance by 50%. It seems like it may be a little TOO strong though, bit curious.
- Changed a bit of text here and there
- Made CHIKUCHIKU trade accessible, still need MICHELLE
Gives the original Eeveelutions their Yellow learnsets (albeit fixing the Haze/Mist glitch that Vaporeon has) to accommodate Eevee being a starter. Also gave Purakkusu and Umbreon some of the moves we added last because I forgot lol
Dark Void and friends aren't in and probably won't be, I dunno yet.
I think Kowtow Cleave is really badass so I gave it to Night Slash too.
Scream Tail and Barunda now have Disarming Voice, which also has its own sound, which is basically Sing but a bit different.
Fake Tears was given its own subanimation to account for the fact it's basically a Water Gun used on yourself.
The FIGHT debug function helps a lot with this whole thing, so test with that.
A three-stage Bug line that mirrors the Caterpie and Weedle lines, being an old design for Weedle's evolutions. Pudi, Hinaazu and Betobebii have been removed, though.
Lots of things here. Citrine now has its own tileset featuring content from the prototype asset leak. This includes new grass, signs, and so on. Lots of tinkering had to be done to make it look good, but it does! Collision and everything is done, but grass needs to animate properly. I'm committing as-is because making the grass animate is actually very difficult.
Also added the Metal Coat and fixed the issues with prior evolution methods - evo items first, level-up second. It is currently unobtainable.
Seems to interact oddly with Saffron but I believe this is because of the way Team Rocket works. The event itself works fine.
Also added the Up-Grade, as before, Porygon was evolving via Trade.
Uses text referencing LGPE, and has a similar location.
Because of the sprite limit in Saffron, the Pidgeot NPC has been removed.
Yeah so I got bored and decided I'm just going to do all of these. Commented out for when they're added.
Also added slots for the potential addition of the Galarica Twig and Wreath but this seems so cringe
This finishes the regional form dex entries and adds Meltan and Melmetal to the framework since they aren't in yet.
The following needs to be done:
- Name entry
- Dex placement
- Cries
- Palettes
- Sprites adjusted for KEP itself (greyscale, 56x56, whitening)
- Sizes
- probably a bit more
- Replaces the Old Rod with the Candy Sack, an item to evolve Meltan into Melmetal. Meltan and Melmetal aren't in yet.
- Improves Gym Leader and Elite Four AI by a lot. They still use items, they're just better. Fixes XSpecial use while we're at it; before, it didn't actually increase the stat...
- The Scarlet Book now takes up both shelves, one section for each Paradox Pokemon. I also moved the bookshelf so it looks nicer.
- Text in Celadon University has been reduced significantly, taking up less memory and being a bit more RBY-like. It has also been made more accurate (thanks to Daiginjo for translating my booklet!)
- The Magikarp researcher in Celadon University now gives TM Dragon Rage (no longer unused!)
- Added a guard for Mt. Moon Crater.
- Removed TrainerNamePointers, Blank Leader Name Code, and Dakutens/Hakutens using a guide published by YakiNeen.
- PP no longer uses a shitty graphic and is instead properly implemented into the font, optimising the status screen. Also displays in-battle which is kinda cool.
- Lorelei, Bruno, and Agatha now play the Gym Leader theme, not just Lance.
Still unsure how to fix Celadon University's trainers, all I know is a lot of the information should be taken from the Oak fight I did. The code is radically different and doesn't call trainer headers at all. You'll likely want to start from scratch.
The Mt. Moon Crater Guard's text is a little wonky, not sure what's up there. May have been from the way I accessed Mt. Moon in testing. Anyway, if you want to mess around feel free.
Adds fossils, Black Augurite, and a few other neat items to Mt. Moon Crater, given it's where the "ancient" Paradox Pokemon are. Seemed cool to me. Also does a few misc things
I gave the readme a facelift to show what's what, and also added notes on the new evolution conditions.
Some notes on evo condition changes;
- Set Sirfetch'd to be a Heart Stone evolution, seems fitting.
- Reverted Pikachu back to stone -> trade, as this is the most consistent with what people will rationally do. People **will** try to trade for Gorochu according to the mythos behind the whole thing, there's really not much wiggle-room.
- Swapped the Vileplume and Bellossom to match SW97 and base Vileplume, it's just confusing to veterans otherwise.
Things to consider:
- Making the Porygons consistent, right now they just aren't. Either add the Up-Grade or make Porygon2 trade as well.
- Adding the Politoed evolution to Poliwag as well to match early material that implied such.
Adding the maps for Silph's Gauntlet, along with Albatross's Galarian Bird sprites. Also fixing Blottle's typing, and temporarily replacing the effects of the recover moves.
Because these Pokemon cannot be captured in the wild, this exclusively buffs the trainers, and by a significant amount too. I left Starmie out to balance out the early-game given how powerful it can be.
Ninetales should be at least L42 in each encounter to account for Fire Spin.
Vileplume and Bellossom should be at least L38, but I think Erika puts Mega Drain over Petal Dance so she should be fine..?
Tsubomitto should be L40+ to account for Lovely Kiss.
Exeggutor should be at least L48+ to account for Sleep Powder.
Cloyster should be at least L23 to account for Clamp. To nerf it, increase its level to 50, where Spike Cannon replaces Explosion.
I have also done a few fixes and stuff;
- Magnezone is part-Steel
- Leafeon gets Swords Dance
- Added Silph Gauntlet Team for the Channeler, assuming L65 is what will be used.
This is so it remains accurate to the Stadium event. While the Japanese events are TMs and will thus break compatibility among other things, that's not really something we *can* implement at this stage. This feels better as a reduction thing.
Adds Blissey, Hitmontop, Steelix, Crobat, Politoed and Slowking. Remnants for Porygon2, Lickilicky, Kingdra and Magnezone can be seen but are currently non functional due to wram space.
Adds the five eeveelutions we don't have, evo items for Glaceon and Sylveon, fixes Rhyperior's dex entry, renamed the Super Rod to Fishing Rod, and commented out the OW Crocky/Kabutops for now
